Good evening, All! I just noticed I never came back and finished the post this morning before I sent it... Forgive me for my absentmindedness. These are in no particular order, just some of the people I believe would be interesting to socialize. 7 People (Dead or Alive) |
Okay, before anyone gets upset about my choosing her for whatever reason, Remember this is my dinner party. You have your own and invite who you would like. Now, with that said... After her husband (#44) came into power, I became intrigued by this woman. I began researching her background, her passions and her values. (Plus, I have a soft spot for those who are educated in, or those from, my original neck-of-the-woods. I truly would love to discuss a magnitude of eco-, socio- and familial dynamic topics. |
Stephen Hawking
This man is one of the few on this list I feel doesn't require any explanation, but since I am here to share how can I not tell you. I have 3 main reasons for Mr. Hawking to be at my dinner table. 1. The educational level he has obtained must make him a fascinating conversationalist. 2. His perseverance, fortitude and ability to adapt and overcome a 'diagnosed' life sentence to the point he succeeded and flourished in his chosen field regardless of the 'doctors' diagnoses. 3. He once posted a question online, "In a world that is in chaos politically, socially and environmentally, how can the human race sustain another 100 years?". I would love to discuss this with him and the others at the dinner. |
Ruth Bader Ginsburg
Associate Justice Ginsburg first made it to my radar back in 1993 when she was appointed to the SCOTUS by President Clinton. I was fascinated to find another female being appointed to the Supreme Court (the first being Sandra Day O'Connor). She is currently one of four women serving on the SC. Born in NY, she graduated high school (her mother's desire was for her to be a hsitory teacher), continued on to Cornell where she would graduate Phi Beta Kappa and would meet her future husband. She followed her husband for military service and would work for the Social Security Administration until she was demoted after getting pregnant with her first child. The following year, she would at enroll in Harvard Law School (where it appears the Dean in 1956 was a sexist ass). When her husband was transferred to NYC, she transferred to Columbia and became the first woman to appear on both Harvard Law Review and Columbia Law Review. And that was just the beginning of all the wonderful things she had to fight through, like sexism, antisemitism, and an extreme bias towards 'mother-less families'. |
Abraham Lincoln
Abraham Lincoln...the 16th President of the United States. Who wouldn't want to talk to him.? He was a self-educated, self-earned man who made it out of Wild West-esque Kentucky to the Illinois House of Representatives before he was 40. He made great strides in all educational and political races he chose to run. He was honorable, a gentleman, a son, a brother, a husband and a politician (without all of the negative connotations attached to the word today), |
Marsha P. Johnson
Marsha was one of the prominent figures in the Stonewall riots (June 1969, Greenwich Village). She and her friend, Sylvia Rivera, were credited with being the first to fight back against the police's injustice towards the LGBT community. She was also a founding member of the Gay Liberation Front and S.T.A.R. (Street Transvestite Action Revolutionaries). Her credits in life (ones I find interesting): * Modeled for Andy Warhol (Click here) * "Saint of Christopher Street" (Click here) Such a strong and powerful woman, how could I not want to. |
Albert Einstein
Einstein's Theory of Relativity E=mc2 * * * * * * * This may be all you know about Einstein (which is enough, provided you know who he is), but Einstein was always so much more. He was reported as having a wonderful sense-of-humor, being poignantly positive and was fond of questioning everything. He would often say to people who identified him on the street, "Pardon me, sorry! Always am I mistaken for Professor Einstein." |
Ellen Degeneres
Well, these are my choices.

7 People, Living or Dead,
You Would Invite to Dinner. Why?
I saw this and loved the idea. With every being currently on, or used to be on, this planet...
COULD YOU IMAGINE THE DINNER CONVERSATION?!?!
Now, when I start thinking about things I immediate start sorting or wondering if I would do an all
philosophy dinner...an all music dinner...an all movie star dinner...an all historical figure dinner...an all,...
well shit the opportunities could be endless.
Here's mine...well, one of the 5 I mixed together to make this one.

Sorry!
Parlor
"Why do you still use this stuff?" Elder shuttered carrying the 'oh-so-familiar' amber bottle to his mother.
"Don't ask stupid questions, boy." Mahalia condemned correcting herself in her chair. "You've been asking me the same ridiculous question since your were an idiot youth. Just give me my oil and shut the hell up." Throwing her hand out.
Elder watched his mother fuss with her lapghan, tucking it in just so. She always had to be just so. Always perfect, always putting on airs.
"Are you listening to me, Elder Stacy Castor?"
"S-s-s-sorry, Mother." Extending her silver medicine spoon. "One teaspoon, nightly, as directed, by Doctor 'What's-his-name' from back before the war of the states." The resounding slap kissed his cheek was enough to grind his brain to a full stop.
"Don't you dare, boy!" His mother waggled her finger at his nose. "I raised you better. Don't be disrespectful. I am still your mother. At least until I pass on, then you will have all my money and you won't need to put up with me anymore. Though I have outlived two husbands and could very well outlive you."
Looking into the serpentine-like eyes of the woman who has abused him, verbally and physically, every day of his life since birth, he felt his skin begin to crawl. Cowering, "Yes, Mother. Forgive me, Mother. I spoke out of turn." He reached out for her 'tonic' bottle, filled the spoon and dropped it in her crystal goblet.
Reaching up to grab the glass, Elder watched her hand shake. It was an act she would roll out time to time to guilt him, however even know this farce he couldn't help feel she actually needed him. Watching the muscles in her throat work, Elder could feel tensions rising in his shoulders causing him to flex his hands.
Thrusting the glass into his solar plexus, "Boy, I want you to remember who you are talking to. Mahalia Margaret Rochester Casto McCloyer is not your door mat and you will not be insolent towards me or to Doctor Westingridge. Period. Don't make me have to correct you again. Aim I clear, boy?" she glared.
Nodding obediently, he grasped the glass, "Yes, Mother." Moving to the opposite side of her chair. "I apologize. It will not happen again." Elder placed the glass among the cacophony of other bottles, dispenser and containers perched on the buffet.

a big, beautiful lover like the....Maine Coon...
or the slightly segmented love of a non-specific...Domestic,
there is no fighting, if you're a cat lover, these little V6s will rumble your heart down the highway.
Our house is a home because of 3 of these little beauties.

Since before I can remember, I've always had cats around me. I never knew the origins of cats.
Domestic or Pure bred never made a difference to me. I've loved them all as if they were a part of me and would forever be.
(Their memories make them part of me daily and there have been over 20 in my lifetime.)
I did find a neat little webpage that enlightened me to their start.
...Here...
With my closing this morning, all I want to say is...
Send me pussy pics!!! I love kitties!!
Send them, send them...NOW!!!!!

I am in need of assistance from all of you, my beautiful darlings.
I am creating a Month-by-Month Challenge for 2018.
While doing these day-by-day challenges and postings, I have realized I don't have much of a life.
So, I am imploring to you dearies.
What would you like to see me post about or see me do (remember, I'm handicapped and poor - tee, hee).
I am pretty willing to try damn near anything and I like challenges. Bring it on!
Let's make it hap'n, Cap'n!

“Damn her.” Elder swore, jerking around gathering all of the pieces for Mother's tea. “Why does she do this to me?”
Yes, I know. I have a Frankenstein problem.
I have watched, watched and re-watched almost every movie, tv show and video relating to
my favorite monster and his family.

Day 3 Movies...Guess Which Ones? ;)
I'm not even going to lie. Today is the day for Frank. So, today's movies are...
Of course, none of these movies are available on Netflix streaming.
However, Frankenstein and Bride of Frankenstein are available as a collection via Netflix DVD Rental.
Or, if you are serious about watching it online, you can watch it in parts on YouTube.
Or, a third option would be to go to your local Wally World or favorite online shop and invest in them.
(Such a worthwhile investment.)
Now forgive me while I head off to watch the rest of my favorite monster movies. (Google it!)

Happy Frank--, um, Friday!
Since I was young, I have always enjoyed this time of year. It has nothing to do with candy or trick-or-treating.
I have always enjoyed the creepy, dark, slimy things lurking in the dark.
To be honest, I love the dark. It's my favorite place to be. Hence, the reason I write the way I do.
Horror movies, scary monsters, ghosts, goblins, vampires, etc.
Everything anyone has ever associated with "creepy", "scary", or "just plain wrong" are a few of my favorite things.
When this time of year comes around, my family tends to shake their heads and look away as I sing songs and hang my decorations with care. Though they do seem to enjoy it when I set to cooking in my kitchen and spread my loving intent into some nummy noshes they happily shovel into their faces while simultaneously asking for more.
~~~~~~~~
2016 was a quiet year for us. I did my thing, made my husband and I a tummy filling dinner and sat down to watch a movie while the rest of the world went about their living (which, of course, doesn't mean trick or treating for the kids around here. Don't even get me started.).
This year, I have a few more people present for this slow-to-get-here and quick-to-leave holiday.
I am planning a dead supper, a Sabbat celebration and a tasty dinner for my extended family.
To be followed by a mulled cider fueled bonfire with my boys (all 4 of them) and maybe some s'mores!
Just the most vaguest of posts today to celebrate all the things that make 'Mericuh great!
Author
I have spent quite a few years writing short stories that never quite fit into the 'normal' genre. When I came across the different erotica genres I was overjoyed. I had found my writing family. I hope that everyone enjoys what I've written. Please feel free to send me a comment/suggestion good/bad/indifferent. I appreciate all feedback! Bright Blessings!
